The Monolith was designed for modern rock and metal players seeking the thick, midrange-focused character of a P90 with enhanced output and a more aggressive edge. Built to handle high-gain applications, this pickup delivers a strong, defined response with wide frequency range and dynamic feel.
The Monolith features Alnico V magnets and a hot wind of 43 AWG Polysol wire, producing a powerful, punchy tone with massive bottom end and solid, articulate mids and highs. Low notes remain sharp and focused even under heavy distortion. This design ensures clarity and definition across all gain levels, from light crunch to fuzz tones and high-gain amps, making it equally effective for blues-rock and modern progressive sounds. The neck pickup is calibrated to balance with the bridge's output, offering enhanced clarity while preserving the characteristic bite. The voicing balances aggression with control, allowing the pickup to drive an amp hard while preserving note separation and dynamic response.
The Demiurge HSP90 series features custom-made bobbins, specifically designed to increase vertical winding space and compensate for the limited horizontal width of humbucker-sized P90s. This design allows the use of any wire gauge while maintaining the high turn count typical of P90 pickups, delivering the most faithful P90 tone possible in a humbucker format.
The series is available with nickel silver covers in different finishes. Extended range models (7/8 strings) and multiscale configurations are available exclusively with black plastic covers.
All models feature 50mm pole spacing.
