The Ember set was designed to deliver a stronger, more driven take on a classic Strat voice, combining vintage character with increased output and midrange presence. Rooted in a familiar foundation, it offers a more aggressive edge with added bite and grit, ideal for players who want a Strat tone that pushes harder while remaining controlled and musical.
The Ember set is bold and punchy, with a fuller low end, more pronounced mids, and a smooth yet present top end that retains clarity without becoming harsh. The attack is immediate and percussive, but with a thicker note body that enhances sustain and presence, especially as the amp is pushed into breakup. Alnico V magnets tighten the low end and bring focus to the midrange, while the 42 AWG Polysol wire contributes to a slightly hotter, more compact response, enhancing output and midrange density while maintaining clarity and note separation.
The bridge pickup is slightly overwound compared to the neck and middle, improving balance across positions with a touch more output and enhanced midrange presence, while maintaining clarity and note definition throughout the set.
The magnets are hand-beveled and feature flat pole pieces for a consistent, even response across the fretboard. Staggered pole pieces are available on request.
The middle pickup is RWRP, providing hum-canceling in positions 2 and 4 when combined with the neck or bridge pickups.
